OWNER PROFILE: THE FEINBERG FAMILY
& HOW VOLVO SAVED THEIR LIVES

The Feinberg family went to a ballgame and came home firm believers in Volvo.

Every year, Debbie Feinberg makes sure that her husband, Glen, sons Noah, age 7, and David, age 11, and her father, Bernard Albert, get Opening Day tickets for the Philadelphia Phillies. “It’s evolved into a family tradition over the years,” said this enthusiastic mom. So, this past March 31st, the gang headed to Citizen’s Bank Park once again to welcome the boys of summer. Hot dogs, fly balls and good times were definitely in abundance throughout the game.

On the way home, however, the day started to take a turn. It was dark and started raining as the group made their way down a busy, winding road in their Volvo V70 wagon. Suddenly, without warning, another car skidded into their lane and hit their vehicle, head-on. The airbags deployed and the V70 was totaled. Despite the serious nature of the collision, the driver and every single passenger walked away from the scene with nothing more than a few bruises. However, David and Noah were still not pleased. “It’s bad enough the Phillies lost, but then the car got smushed,” they commented.

Police, medics, ER nurses and doctors alike all had the same reaction – they credited the Feinbergs’ Volvo with saving the lives of everyone in the car. “I never thought we’d have to test our Volvo, but it did what we got it to do,” says Mrs. Feinberg. “Now, our beloved V70 will surely rest in peace after saving my wonderful family. And another Volvo is in our driveway already!”

Thanks for sharing your story, Feinbergs! At Volvo, we’re always happy to hear about such positive experiences. We are thrilled to have kept this family safe, sound and together. To know the design of our vehicles has protected lives is what Volvo is all about. So for us, there can be no better compliment or achievement.
